ere is a rough excerpt from the preview of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion: The Burning Crusade from Italian computer gaming magazine The Games Machine Online. This information has been confirmed by an independent Italian reader with a copy of the magazine, at Worldofwar.net's online forums.
A new territory:
Outlands
A new istance:
Kharzan a 5 person istance in the Deadwind pass zone
Caverns of time in Tanaris
Lvl cap raised to 70
A new profession: jewelcrafting, you can craft gems to apply to weapon and armor to add new effect
Two new races:
Blood Elves for horde(there are the screen on the magazine)
Still unknown for alliance
Atmospheric effect:
rain, snow
Release:
after may 2006
The gates of Ahn'Qiraj can only be opened once per server, and will take the serverwide efforts of the players of that server to do so. (World Event! Yay!!)
In the region unlocked there is an additional 20 person instance designed to cater to a similiar audience as ZG.
There is also a new 40 man instance. It is to be harder than Blackwing Lair. I can't tell if I am reading the translation correctly here. It is either to be 2-3 times harder than Molten Core... Or the way I think it actually reads, 2-3 times bigger.
Finally, I gather it is possible to get an insect mount. No idea if it is normal or epic, but I would guess epic. More to come. Takes me a bit to transcribe.
Hero classes. The update? There isn't one. Rob Pardo is quoted in Italian as saying they don't want to promise them in case they don't make the cut. Let the speculation begin on what the next 10 levels will mean. I will keep transposing and see if it kind of tells me.
Blood elves start north of the Eastern Plaguelands. Three regions, Eversong Woods with the capital of Silvermoon, Ghostland, and Zul'Aman.
The magazine then speculates that the new race for Alliance could easily be pandas. (ed's note: /sigh)
