So, it's been a little bit of a challenge being my own server admin but I'm making progress. The site is now running the database off the new server and so all that's left is to finish setting up the e-mail server and change the DNS for this domain name. Basically, from here on out the site should continue to function normally and may only be down for a short period of time when I actually begin the name transfer. I hope you guys the better site speed/performance.
