recently visited renowned author Richard A. Knaak at his Plano book signing! Click on 'Full Story' for details!
I went down to Waldenbooks at the Willowbend mall, here in Plano Texas. Richard A. Knaak, author of the Day of the Dragon Warcraft Series as well as several other renowned works, was amply signing books at his promotion stand.

I distracted him from his signing for a little bit to talk to him, and he's already begun his work on his next Warcraft book. Won't (can't) go into detail, but it incorporates the past as well as the future, and you're likely to see some of your favorite characters from previous books as well as new, original ones. I'll be smart next time and reserve a copy, so what happened to me today won't happen again.

That's right, and so begins our story of woe. I got there at around 1:10, only ten minutes after the signing officially began. All copies of Day of the Dragon had sold out already. So, not having a signed book, I went for the next best thing. I demonically coerced (not really) Mr. Knaak into a photo op. I'm the terrorist looking guy on the left, in case you can't tell. I apologize at this point for not having more photos, but read on and I'm sure you'll understand.

This being my first act of determined fanboyism, I rushed to the nearest Barnes and Nobles and asked a helpful person where to find Knaak's books. He led me to the 'Science Fiction' Section. All copies of Day of the Dragon were sold out. GRRR! Hell hath no fury like a fanboy scorn'd!

Still determined, I stopped at Border's Books. Just my luck, the very last copy was sold just earlier. After proceeding to pound my head on a brick wall (again, not really), went to Denny's for breakfast and gave up. *sigh*.

P.S.: To those of you who got to the books before me, let it be known I will hunt you down and find out where you live. Thank you, that is all.
