Let's see where your class stacks up, chump. 8/8 Teams have a Warrior. Nuff 'said. 8/8 Teams have a Pally. WTB sexy BElf version. 7/8 Teams have a Shaman. Check.
5/8 Teams have a Mage. 4/8 Teams have a Priest. Check.
3/8 Teams have a Warlock. 2/8 Team have a Hunter. 1/8 Teams have a Rogue. 0/8 Teams have a Druid. I won't bother you with numbers, just a thought that you better be packing some serious resilience at Blizzcon or you are gonna get rolled over by the Crit Train. Woowoo. BRACE FOR IMPACT! |

Run for the hills you carebears! H0ld 0n t0 y0ur cl0uds0ng L337D00Ds. Get ready to laugh maniacally you greefing bastards. Its an installment from me, the Irritable Gankstar, Ignign0kt. Welcome to a new feature, Pure Speculation , we'd like to bring you, from the most ornery gamer east of the Pecos, Ignignokt. A bit of rumor, a bit of buzz, and 100% one man's opinion. If you believe what he says, you're more foolish then him. He's doing this as hard as he can, in the hope's that you can see it. -Ed's note: shameless self promotion, ftw? This week's hottest topic is the upcoming expansion that is tentatively set to be announced at this year's Blizzcon. Now, while we don't have any concrete details of yet, Pure Speculation is here to give ya the straight dope. From the rumor mills we've heard of one juicy and telling tidbit, that of new sheet music being given to the Video Games Live Orchestra playing at Blizzcon . The new pieces are entitled, Northrend 1, 2, & 3, and have not yet appeared on any official Blizzard soundtrack before. There has been much discussion, ad nauseum, to where WoW is heading. But from my reckoning, and Pardo's own mouth, WoW is supposed to be around until 2014, a decade after its release. So we arent even at the halfway point yet. Can we really handle another expansion? Well, that is assuming the level cap will be raised. Grinding to 70 wasn't great times, but it was much more fun then getting to 60. So can we expect Blizzard to give us another quick and dirty grind to 80 to take out Arthas? Is the community even ready yet? The Burning Crusade really shook things up, and we seem to just be getting settled into things. Although the announcement is just that, it does signal upcoming change. Will the new players that have started playing recently be able to catch up? |

Tigole wrote: I've been following a lot of the reactions on the WoW forums as well as the fansite forums to our announcement of Zul'Aman. I've noticed that there's a little bit of confusion as to some comments that were made in various articles that said that (I am paraphrasing here) "Zul'Aman will be more casual than Karazhan."' Of course, what most of us in the WoW community have come to realize over the past few years is that the term "casual" means different things to different people. In fact, I am at the point where I try to avoid using the term at all. I've come to discover that most players consider themselves "Casual" when it supports their argument and likewise, they think of themselves as "hardcore" when convenient. We have the largest Casual Hardcore (or Hardcore Casual) community of any MMO out there! All joking aside, the clarification is this: --Zul'Aman will be a 10-person raid zone --Zul'Aman will be on a quicker reset than 7 days (some might call this "casual") --Zul'Aman will be MORE difficult than Karazhan and drop better loot (some might call this hardcore) --Zul'Aman will feature 6 bosses and it's our goal that you can kill them all in one night -- perhaps 2-3 hour clear times (some might call this casual) --Zul'Aman will not have a key requirement. Nor will it have an attunement quest\ (some might call this casual) --Zul'Aman will have a VERY challenging timed quest for those who choose to participate in it. This *will be* hardcore and will be very rewarding. Players do not have to engage in the timed run (very similar to the Baron run in Stratholme) --We're tuning the first boss in Zul'Aman to require less raid coordination than some other raid bosses. He will still hit very hard so you'll need to be geared properly but it won't take 15 minutes to explain the fight. It will be a simple yet challenging fight. The other boss fights get more complex and challenging from there. If players want a basis of comparison, imagine the tuning of ZA started around Nightbane/Prince difficulty and ramped up from there. ZA is a very cool looking zone. It will feature brand new troll models -- Forest Trolls. They are very impressive looking. There will also be a large amount of brand new item art in the zone. We'll get screenshots of this out soon. I know this question is going to come up so I'll answer it now -- Yes, you can totally skip Karazhan if you're an amazingly elite guild who doesn't have time to key up for KZ yet can face the challenges of ZA without gearing up in KZ. Have fun storming the castle.

Bones and skeletons have disappeared from the Chinese version of the popular online fantasy game World of Warcraft, sparking fierce criticism from the nation's army of players, the Xinhua news agency said on Tuesday. Chinese mainland gamers have waited half a year longer than their U.S. counterparts for the upgraded version of WoW, only to find that some of the game's regular characters who in the past have appeared as skeletons are now fleshed out. A staff member in the public relations department of The9, which runs WoW in China, was quoted by a Guangzhou-based newspaper as saying the changes were made according to "China's particular situation and relevant regulations." "It's to promote a healthy and harmonious online environment," the anonymous staff member said. However, Zhao Yurun, public relations director of The9, told Xinhua the changes were...
