ome of you may remember rumors of the World of Warcraft expansion pack which Blizzard refused to comment on. Here we are again months later with information leaks that are making people extremely anxious, and desperately wanting to get the full details.
Anyways, the name of the WoW Expansion pack is The Burning Crusade, and I'm just gonna list what the main things we've heard and what are the most likely, and then other not so credible items. The information is as follows:
Alliance and Horde will each get one new race, we don't know what those will be yet, but make sure to buy a copy of Computer Gaming World in about 2 weeks because the new Horde race will be on the cover. Blizzard appears intent on keeping a tight lip on the new alliance race. Also, the new level cap will be raised to 70! This means they will have to implement at least one major new raid instance since when people will begin to cap out, Blacking Lair, Molten Core etc, will be child's play.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were 20 man groups clearing out Blackwing Lair, or 5-10 man pugs farming world bosses such as the Four Dragons, Kazzak or Azuregos. So, where do we go 60+? Given the recent revamp of Silithus and the extension of the Emerald Dream Quest, Ahn'Quiraj and the Emerald Dream would be obvious suspects. However, anyone who's ever used wow mapView could see that those zones (at least in the files that are distributed with the latest wow client) aren't looking very polished. But that doesn't really mean too much anyway, as Blizzard can simply choose what they want to be included with the map data files.
If I were to guess what zones/instances are on the near horizon, I would say the Tower of Medivh in Deadwind Pass, Mt. Hyjal and then Ahn'Quiraj. We'll be sure to post anything new as it comes in. If you know more information about the expansion pack, feel free to contact us here. |

lizzard has posted a lot of new information this week about the new 1.80 patch. First we got a look at the new Druid Talents, then the new Silithus content, and now a preview of the Four Dragons which are part of the new outdoor raid encounters relating to the Emerald Dream story line. Silithus and the Four Dragons are going to bring a big new batch of epics items as well. Click here for more information on the Four Dragons preview. Click here for the Silithus Preview. etting up your own dedicated server isn't as easy as I thought. Seems like as soon as you configure one thing, something else comes up that puts the whole operation in limbo. So, currently this site is still running of shared hosting, but the dbase is off our dedicated. So anyways, I've only got one problem left to settle before I can move this site over and I'm not sure how long that's gonna take. Anyways though, while I've been figuring all that stuff out, I've missed out on posting a lot of news updates. I know the news is now kind of old but I'm just gonna do a quick recap for the heck of it :)
Lets see, probably the biggest thing I missed was the 1.7 patch which has already been out for almost 2 weeks now. Among the patch came the 20 man Zul'Gurub instance, and 15v15 Arathi Basin PvP battlegrounds. Hunters got their talents totally overhauled so now they are overpowered like no ones business. NERF HUNTERS! Drake also posted the second "Battleplan" which basically a roadmap of things to come in WoW and also a plug for the the upcoming Blizzcon event.
Now, in more recent news, Eyonix has made a few posts on the forusm regarding
+Spell Hit Chance
Instant Melee Attack Change
upcoming Warlock Enhancements for the 1.8 patch
And just yesterday, Blizzard posted a preview of the new Druid Talents which will be comin on the 1.8 patch. Check them out here. |
