Blacksmiths take bars of metal from miners and work them into finely crafted arms and armor. There are many unique weapons and other armaments that cannot be found on any of the vendors or monsters in the game, but can only be created by blacksmiths. Blacksmiths can create weapons, mail armor for Paladins or Warriors, and trade items. Blacksmiths can construct special sharpening stones that can be used to temporarily improve weapon damage. They can also create several items that are used as ingredients for other Profession recipes, such as Enchanting.
br> If you plan on being a blacksmith, you should probably already be a miner. Miners collect ore and smelt ore into bars to create the majority of blacksmithing items. Blacksmith recipes often include jewels, which are found in a variety of places. Typically, most blacksmiths buy or are given rare jewels from other players. Some blacksmithing recipes require leather, which you will need to buy from a skinner.

Blacksmithing is great for Paladins or Warriors, who can use the skill to create their own equipment. It is also good for making money by selling weapons and armor to the classes that can use them.

The Alchemist mixes herbs in order to generate potions with a variety of effects. A player can create healing, invisibility, elemental resistance, and mana potions; oils to coat weapons; and much more.

Alchemy is useful to all character classes. Melee fighters can use alchemy to create buff and healing potions. Spell casting classes can use alchemy to create mana potions and related buffs. Alchemy is a fun Profession where you can create potions for yourself, sell them to others, or give them to your party members and friends. Alchemists are well loved when they hand out potions.

Italian Magazine Transcription PDF Print E-mail

he guys over at The Goblin Workshop have been able to translate the two-page preview of the upcoming World of Warcraft Expansion: "The Burning Crusade", from the Italian gaming magazine The Games Machine Online. If you are able to read Italian, or would simply like to verify the existence of the article yourself, click on the thumbnail to the right.

The Blood Elf Homeland of Quel'Thalas is located just north of the Eastern Plaguelands. [Ed- ever notice that bloodelf guy blocking the road named Adon (addon)?] Sunstrider Isle is the starting/newbie area and Silvermoon is their capital city. There are two attached zones, Ghostland and a troll area called Zul'Aman. Hero classes have not been promised because they are unsure about being able to meet the expansion launch date.

A really interesting rumor is that Battlegrounds will be linked between servers. If this is true, it should really help with the BG-queue times and change people's faction balance corncerns towards other topics. A contradicting piece of news is now reporting that weather affects will not be available in the expansion, but instead in the next retail patch (good news either way). Ahn'Quiraj will be opened through a live event that will supposedly occur only once per server and will require server-wide collaberation. [Ed - Now, while I definitely think a world event is worth putting into the game, ONCE per server sounds a little off. A question that concerns me is what about the people who join the server after the event has taken place?]

Also, the temple behind the scarab wall is reported to be a 20 man raid dungeon that is three times the size of Molten Core. It has been reported that you can aquire insect mounts to use while inside the dungeon. On the same topic, its rumored that you will be able to get ahold of a controllable flying mount, however, the catch is that it can only be used in the Outland.

Read more for the magazine transcription, which elaborates on all of the above topics...

he rumor moles are going crazy today. Tons of information being leaked about the new wow expansion and now these new screen shots!

Time to have a cow... seroiusly, check em out:

As you can tell, most of these screenshots are from the Blood Elf starting location, however, the first two I believe, are from Karazhan, and the third from the Caverns of Time.

On a side note, here's a little quote from page 154 in the Warcraft RPG Book, Shadows and Light.

The Burning Crusade
A great war rages beyond the ken of normal mortals. The universe houses innumerable worlds, and the Burning Legion currently invades a handful of them. Most mortals are blind to this secret conflict, but the wisest and strongest know of it -- and some are heroes and leaders in this war. Champions from Azeroth and many other worlds battle across the cosmos, attempting to drive back the Burning Legion and keep the embattled planets safe from demonic corruption. Theirs is a desperate, epic war, and they welcome any who would join them. Beings of all sorts join forces -- humans and draenei fight alongside orcs, high elves alongside night elves. Old rivalries are thrown aside in the face of the ominous Legion. All who fight this secret war know that, despite the posturing and ambition of individual demon lords, Kil'jaeden was always Sargeras' second. He is the Legion's true leader. Out in the Great Dark Beyond, Kil'jaeden waits as demons and mortals die, biding his time for his minions to grow strong once again.
