ue to World of Warcrafts extreme popularity and server loads during launch, early gamers were subject to high server loads and queue times while Blizzard worked to bring up more World of Warcraft game servers. Because of this down time, Blizzard has decided to extend the trial period for those gamers who created accounts early (launch week). Below is their schedule of extensions.

Accounts created on November 23 will receive a 4-day extension
Accounts created on November 24 will receive a 3-day extension
Accounts created on November 25 will receive a 2-day extension
Accounts created on November 26 will receive a 1-day extension

World of Warcraft is out!

Tuesday, 23 November 2004
kay, World of Warcraft is finally out. You still have your beta account installed or you are installing while you've already created your account at signup.worldofwarcraft.com and you are expecting to play in just a few seconds! WRONG!! Due to Blizzards new system, que management prevents people from flooding the servers all at the same time. So, before you can even create your character, you have to wait in line. I'm a patient guy, okay 20 minutes, my number goes down in the list and I have about 8 minutes left when BOOM disconnected from server. AWESOME! I have to relogin and start my que all over with a higher number then I was before. Now, givin this is just one server incident, some servers may not have a que, while others like central servers have over a thousand people in que with rediculously long que times. If you thought you were going to be playing World of Warcraft tonight, think again. You may be waiting a little longer then you hoped. For now, Blizzard recommends avoiding ques in effort to help distribute the server loads. Ultimately, it's your call anyways and you can't entirely blame them I guess. It's like opening movie night. The first day is usually sold out so you gotta wait the next day anyways. This que system is only temporary for launch so this may not even be an issue for some of you guys. Here's a list of recommended "not so busy" servers (read more for the list).

See you in game!
