he rumor moles are going crazy today. Tons of information being leaked about the new wow expansion and now these new screen shots!
Time to have a cow... seroiusly, check em out:
As you can tell, most of these screenshots are from the Blood Elf starting location, however, the first two I believe, are from Karazhan, and the third from the Caverns of Time.
On a side note, here's a little quote from page 154 in the Warcraft RPG Book, Shadows and Light.
The Burning Crusade
A great war rages beyond the ken of normal mortals. The universe houses innumerable worlds, and the Burning Legion currently invades a handful of them. Most mortals are blind to this secret conflict, but the wisest and strongest know of it -- and some are heroes and leaders in this war. Champions from Azeroth and many other worlds battle across the cosmos, attempting to drive back the Burning Legion and keep the embattled planets safe from demonic corruption. Theirs is a desperate, epic war, and they welcome any who would join them. Beings of all sorts join forces -- humans and draenei fight alongside orcs, high elves alongside night elves. Old rivalries are thrown aside in the face of the ominous Legion. All who fight this secret war know that, despite the posturing and ambition of individual demon lords, Kil'jaeden was always Sargeras' second. He is the Legion's true leader. Out in the Great Dark Beyond, Kil'jaeden waits as demons and mortals die, biding his time for his minions to grow strong once again.
Thanks to our member Jraus for pointing it out. |

World of Warcraft - THE BURNING CRUSADE
The following was taken from The Goblin Workshop:
Please keep in mind that this information has not been confirmed so much of it could be made up.
The "Burning Crusade"
Illidan has gone insane, and already the alliance between the Draenei, Naga, and Blood Elves has began to crumble. The Naga once again wish to return to the sea, and the Blood Elves' hunger for demonic energies increases day by day... Illidan was tortured by Kil'jaeden after he failed to defeat Arthas - but finally, Kil'jaeden saw another task for Illidan. One that, if he failed, he would be sent into the twisted nether to be consumed by demons... Kil'jaeden then told him everything that had happened since his defeat.

ere is a rough excerpt from the preview of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion: The Burning Crusade from Italian computer gaming magazine The Games Machine Online. This information has been confirmed by an independent Italian reader with a copy of the magazine, at Worldofwar.net's online forums.
A new territory:
Outlands
A new istance:
Kharzan a 5 person istance in the Deadwind pass zone
Caverns of time in Tanaris
Lvl cap raised to 70
A new profession: jewelcrafting, you can craft gems to apply to weapon and armor to add new effect
Two new races:
Blood Elves for horde(there are the screen on the magazine)
Still unknown for alliance
Atmospheric effect:
rain, snow
Release:
after may 2006
The gates of Ahn'Qiraj can only be opened once per server, and will take the serverwide efforts of the players of that server to do so. (World Event! Yay!!)
In the region unlocked there is an additional 20 person instance designed to cater to a similiar audience as ZG.
There is also a new 40 man instance. It is to be harder than Blackwing Lair. I can't tell if I am reading the translation correctly here. It is either to be 2-3 times harder than Molten Core... Or the way I think it actually reads, 2-3 times bigger.
Finally, I gather it is possible to get an insect mount. No idea if it is normal or epic, but I would guess epic. More to come. Takes me a bit to transcribe.
Hero classes. The update? There isn't one. Rob Pardo is quoted in Italian as saying they don't want to promise them in case they don't make the cut. Let the speculation begin on what the next 10 levels will mean. I will keep transposing and see if it kind of tells me.
Blood elves start north of the Eastern Plaguelands. Three regions, Eversong Woods with the capital of Silvermoon, Ghostland, and Zul'Aman.
The magazine then speculates that the new race for Alliance could easily be pandas. (ed's note: /sigh)

few new screenshots are floating around the internet today, and from the looks of it, appear to be pretty official. Judging by these new images, the new Horde race will be the Blood Elves. Until Blizzard officially announces the Horde race, I'll let you guys draw your own conclusions.
Additionally, if you look closely at the character creation screen, it looks like Blood Elves will be able to choose from these classes: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Priest, Mage, Warlock (woohoo). You'll also notice a Pandaren icon directly across from the Blood Elf icon. This could very well mean that the Alliance's new race will be the Pandaren. The only catch though is that those icons are so small, it really would be easy for anyone to have photoshoped in any race they'd like. Unfortunately the images we have are pretty small but they are still great images nonetheless. Enjoy!
